Firstly, thank you to those that took the
time to respond and help us improve our services. The results overall
were very positive with "the overall level of

MYOB gets
an Add-on
Early in the year we helped an electrical
contracting business. They were fighting with their MYOB accounting
system to handle project budgets, progress claims and split labour
costing. Even the people at MYOB have acknowledged it can't do
everything and provide Add-on
Solutions through independent developers to help
bridge the gaps. As part of the GARJEWA consulting service we conducted
a short list evaluation of possible solutions and recommended
SmartTrade for further evaluation and testing.
New
Horizons Club
Using Word and Excel to support their back
office processes just wasn't delivering for the club. GARJEWA quoted
and won the 56 project to deliver the club's Management System. This
included membership management/billing, equipment hire, activity/sport
tracking and automated newsletter mailouts/emails. A User manual and
training was also delivered as part of the project. Belinda (manager)
commented that the solution would "save them employing another
staff member". What a payback! Helping people work smarter is what
GARJEWA is all about. If you can see opportunities in your business but
are not sure how to realise them, then perhaps we can give you a hand.
National
Broadband Network (NBN)
Update - In February 2010, eight UTAS
students started a twelve month project to build the framework for the
prototype "green" training and assessment system, I mentioned
in the January 2010 newsletter. Eight bright young minds looking at how
the NBN can be leveraged to apply business benefits and help the
environment. I'm looking forward to seeing how they meet the challenge
and will keep you posted.
Best regards, Jeff
Garner.
